Sermon Series: Grace Upon Grace
By Scripture alone. By faith alone. By grace alone.
Grace is the heart of the Christian faith. God’s grace in Jesus—his undeserved love that alone brings us forgiveness, life and salvation—is our source of joy in this life and our hope for the life to come. And God’s grace knows no limits.
God isn’t satisfied with providing his people just one or two blessings. Instead, when God shows us grace in one area of our lives, this often leads to further grace. One gift of God leads to another. And to another. And to countless more.
As we bring the church year to a close, this series gives us an opportunity to ponder God’s grace—shown so clearly in the life, death and resurrection of his Son Jesus—and to rejoice in the overflowing abundance of grace upon grace.
Week 4: Christ’s Rule Brings Safety
True safety and security can’t be found in earthly rulers—they will always come up short. But in Christ’s Kingdom, we find forgiveness, love and a ruler who directs all things for our eternal good. It’s only under the gracious rule of Christ in our hearts that we find true, eternal safety.
